A Perfect Plateful at Princi’s

A plateful of Princi's prime proteins

A late Sunday lunch at Princi’s

I will never forget studying for my nutrition exam and reading “food combining makes it difficult to eat out.” Not true, and especially at Princi’s.

The Milanese bakery chain has an airy canteen-style restaurant in the heart of London’s West End. There, you can separate your carbohydrate, protein and neutral dishes to your stomach’s content.

Appealing, nutritious and tasty fare at reasonable prices, and served by an enthusiastic Italian staff.

Last Sunday, I nipped in for a very late lunch, and had a plateful of Caprese salad, chicken and caramelised onions, pumpkin salad, roasted aubergine, and beetroot with goat’s cheese. Delicious.

All proteins and neutral vegetables and salad, very filling, easy on my digestion, and even easier on my pocket at ten pounds all in, including a drink. Perfetto.
